You can become a member of Scotmid by simply completing a Membership Application and confirming your support for Scotmid's values and principles at your local Scotmid store.
You can either give the completed form to the cashier with your
£1 share capital or you can post it to the Membership
department at the Scotmid Head Office - but remember to
enclose your £1. The address can be found on the form.
You can also give the membership team a call. They will happily
post a form out to you.
Just £1 equals one share in the Society. Everyone has an equal
share, regardless of the value of their share account.
Please note the following important information
1. The money you have paid for Scotmid share(s) is "risk
capital" and you may not get it all back
2. The Society is involved in a wide range of business
activities including retail, property and funeral
services
3. Your share capital is not protected by a compensation
scheme
4. There is no access to the Financial Services Ombudsman
Scheme in the event of a dispute concerning your share(s)
