Our members meetings give members an opportunity to have their say.
There are two members meetings held each year. The Annual
General Meeting (AGM) of members is usually held on the last Monday
in April and the Annual Report and Accounts is presented to members
for their approval. The Ordinary General Meeting (OGM) of
members is usually held on the first Monday in October and the
Interim report is submitted to this meeting.
Members who joined the Society at least six months before the
members meeting may attend. Only members who have held a
minimum shareholding of £1 for a period of six calendar months
before the date of the meeting will be eligible to attend and vote
at members meetings.
When attending a members meeting, you can expect to be updated
on:
- the recent financial performance of the Society
- any major capital purchases, investments or sales
- any changes to the Society's constitution
- Regional Committee/Board nominations and elections
- Membership Strategy
- community involvement
As a member, you can also use this as your opportunity to make
your voice heard by asking questions, voicing opinions, nominating
for elections and electing your Regional Committee nominees.
